Seriously. Apps like Whatauto or AutoResponder install on your Android phone, have a free tier, and their paid plans run around two or three dollars a month. They reply from your own number while you are away, and they do it well. If that is all you need, pick one of them and keep the difference. ResumiBot is for a different situation: a business number that has to answer, hand off and follow up all day, without depending on your phone.
No card. The free plan is permanent: 5 groups and 50 AI calls a month.
Both routes are unofficial, theirs and ours. Those apps reply from your personal number, so that is the number WhatsApp could block. ResumiBot replies from a separate number you get for the bot.
Those apps read the notifications on your phone, so the phone has to be on and online. ResumiBot runs on our server around the clock, whether your phone is on or not.
An auto-reply app sees a notification and answers it. ResumiBot also reads your groups and summarizes them, hands a chat to a person, and tells you who went quiet. It is a different product.
you want an away reply or a few keyword answers on your personal number, and you are on Android. Both do that, for less. Whatauto also covers Messenger, Instagram and Telegram.
a greeting, an away message and up to 50 quick replies are enough. It is Meta's own free app, and it covers more than people think.
you need a numbered menu that hands the chat to a person and alerts you, follow-up on whoever went quiet, a summary of each customer conversation, and your groups summarized every day, without your phone being on. That is the Pro plan.
The dashboard is in Spanish for now (your browser can translate it, but it is Spanish). The bot itself writes in the language you choose under "Voz del Bot" (bot voice), so your summaries arrive in English. We would rather tell you here than after you sign up.
Read and summarize your groups. Turn a group into a podcast or a news show. Run without your phone. A menu option that pauses the bot and alerts you when a customer asks for a person. Follow-up on whoever did not reply. A summary of the conversation with a customer. Lead capture and signed webhooks. None of that is a setting they are missing: a phone app that reads notifications is a different kind of tool.
ResumiBot connects to WhatsApp through an unofficial channel. WhatsApp can permanently block a number it detects as automated, so never connect your personal number. A cheap prepaid SIM, an eSIM or an old phone with its own line works fine.
This is the trade. Do not connect the number you give your customers: the bot gets a separate number and you serve from that one going forward. An extra SIM, in exchange for keeping your personal number out of it.
If that number ever gets blocked, you lose that number and nothing else: your account, your groups and everything the bot produced stay here.
How to get a number for the botResumiBot's customer service pieces are on the Pro plan ($19/month). The free plan summarizes groups; it does not serve customers. Whatauto and AutoResponder have free tiers of their own: compare before you sign up for anything.
"Reply 1 for prices, 2 for hours, 3 to talk to a person." Test it in the simulator before anyone sees it. Pro plan.
Menu, welcome, hours, away, busy mode, keyword replies and AI answers: what each one does. Pro plan.
The closest thing to their driving mode: you switch it on with one message and it covers you for hours. Pro plan.
No, and we will not claim it. Both routes are unofficial, and WhatsApp can block a number it detects as automated on either one. The difference is which number takes that risk: with a phone app, your personal number; with ResumiBot, a number you got for the bot. If it is blocked, you lose that number and nothing else.
Reply on Messenger, Instagram or Telegram. Detect that you are driving. Reply from your personal number with no extra SIM. Export to Google Sheets. Dialogflow. If any of those is a must for you, we are not your option, and we would rather say it here than after you pay.
Because it is a different job. An auto-reply app answers notifications on your phone. The Pro plan runs a business number on our server: menu with hand-off, hours, follow-up, templates, and your groups summarized every day. If you only need the first, pay the two dollars.
The free plan is permanent and asks for no card. If it is not for you, you just stop.
